It’s a New Year.

Finally, the Christmas and New Year celebrations are over. The hotel is getting quiet but we have a lot of cleaning up to do as our rooms were almost like camps. We have to get the freshness back as soon as possible. But why is there hardly business every January? I don’t mind at this point because it gives us little time to recover from the madness of last year. I wonder what this year will be like? Already, getting to work is more challenging and life is getting unbearable – thanks to the removal of fuel subsidy. It cost me double to get to the bus stop now that is, if you even find the transport on time and going back is even more frustrating. The way things are going, I might just be using my whole salary for transport fare. I pray our guests will give me more tips this year – it will surely help.
